James Hetfield kicks Dave Mustaines dog, Mustaine gets kicked out of Metallica

Megadeth lead singer Dave Mustaine has finally come clean as to why he thinks he was kicked out of the band. This new information adds a new twist to the idea that he was just kicked out because of his drinking habits. But Mustaine alleges he was kicked out of the band because he brawled with Hetfield after he kicked his dog. It took 26 years to come out with this info, and what a strange story indeed as he discribed it with Norwegian rock blog Lydverket.

Mustaine apparently revealed that he was a pot dealer. He commented that when he went to play shows, people would break into his apartment and steal his weed. So Mustaine got two pet dogs. Apparently he brought one to reherasal one time and his dog put his paws up on the car of Metallica's
former bassist Ron's McGovney. When that occured, James came up to the dog and kicked it right in it's side.

Soon after that, Mustaine and Hetfield continuously argued. Mustaine hammered Hetfield in the face and the two started brawling. Mustaine comments, "I think that was the route of why I lost my job."

But things don't end there. Apparently Mustaine shot back at the Norwegian journalist who published the interview saying on the Megadeth forum according to Blabbermouth "These people are scum. Don't listen to their interviews, don't buy their shit magazine, don't go to their pathetic garbage website. And stand by, because as soon as I see that interviewer again, I am going to put him in a hospital. That is a promise. I will find him too."

It should be interesting to see how this all goes down.

Dave Mustaine threatens retirement to get out of Roadrunner Records contract

In a recent post at the Megadeth's Forum, Dave Mustaine stated:

"I said that the president (of Roadrunner Records) came out and said it (Endgame) was the last record and that if we didn't re-sign with them for more records they were going to stop selling the record, and I have always known that there was another record owed, I just wanted to see what they were going to do, and I also face the physical problems, so regardless of what they say or don't say, if my neck or spine says, 'You're done Dave', then I am done.

I hate talking about this because it is not fair to the other guys when it suggests no job security.

I love my my relationship with a lot of the people that I am working with, and I know that it seems selfish sometimes to say that I am going to stop. But if the body or the hands say that's it, well then, that is it.

I still have fire in my belly and I really wished that Endgame was handled differently, but I am going to trust God to sort this out, and if the record was meant to die quickly and if I am meant to suffer another blow to my ego, my pride, my legacy and so on, in order to be a better person and to be closer to God, well then I will soldier on and complete my time there with grace and honor.

I can tell you that while it is destroying our tenure with RR, I am not going to let this bother me anymore. I think history will dictate this whole thing, and I am completely prepared to work, so we will see where it goes now."

In a more recent, and positive message, Mustaine states:

"I am so happy that you are digging the station (Megadeth Radio). Hopefully a lot of the talk in between will keep you amused. And I know that the song selection is getting groomed and improved every day except Sundays, you know why, and because I think I am also going to see my hometown team the Chargers (you know, the ones without the ponytails and the players having a hard time deciding if they are football players or rock stars) take on my favourite team since I was a kid, the Raiders.

This will be tough, but in a way kinda like watching two friends fight.

Ever notice how chick fights are so much more vicious than dudes. I remember watching some girls that appeared to be in some group, beat up a lone girl, and I was just a 12 year old, but it was savage! Even while sitting on the ground in complete submission, this group of girls found it necessary to keep attacking this single girl, kicking her in the face and head.

Life is so funny at times how quickly people can turn on something or someone. That is why I am so grateful right now for the success we have, and for the way that the band keeps growing in stature and status, but also how we continue to put great performances down, keep growing closer to you all, and continue to outlast the critics.

Our next leg will be with SLAYER and people said, 'it wouldn't happen,' then they said, 'well, it won't last for long,' then they said, 'well, it won't happen again,' and we are heading back up to Canada to meet with them.

I was in my dressing room with Dave (Lombardo) and Kerry (King) hanging out and we were all celebrating our success, and I got to ask Kerry, 'what it was that I did that pissed you off so bad, so that I can fix it,' and of course we were interrupted and the conversation stopped. So, I look forward to seeing the guys, and some of you don't know that when Tom (Araya) got sick, I actually invited Kerry to come play an old Megadeth song, because he played in Megadeth for a very short time, while helping me out because I was still looking for a guitarist and he was already in Slayer.

Now, I imagine they will be saying, 'well, that's it, and those lucky f*ckers, we'll never get to see this event.' To this I say, 'Anything is possible!'
